Whether by his unwillingness to shoot the puck or by either hitting the post or having great saves made on him, Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf has had trouble scoring goals all season. And when it appeared that he had won a critical game for his team Friday night against New Jersey, Getzlaf even had that goal taken away from him. Getzlaf thought the Ducks had completed a stunning comeback from two goals down when he directed Luca Sbisa's pass into the net behind future Hall of Fame Devils goalie Martin Brodeur. What would have been a sterling moment turned into disappointment for Getzlaf when the apparent overtime winner was disallowed in the Ducks' eventual 3-2 shootout loss to the Devils. New Jersey's Ilva Kovalchuk and Patrik Elias scored shootout goals as the Devils beat the red-hot Anaheim Ducks 3-2 in the NHL on Friday. Martin Brodeur made 36 saves and preserved the shootout win with a pad save on Ryan Getzlaf as the Devils handed the Ducks only their seventh loss since the start of the year.
